#14 RECOVERWORLD RELEASES MONDAY 30TH MARCH 2015

We are under starters orders and it’s another massive week! The Recoverworld Label Group “Releases Day” has six releases across five of its labels.

As always we start with the singles. The incredibly talented British producer Richard Hepworth debuts on Discover Digital under his alias H.E.P. “Gametime” and “Hard but Not ‘Ard” may be his first set of releases with the label, but I can guarantee you will be seeing plenty more! Lostly‘s “No Direction Home” gets a re-working from Chris York on Eve Records. His take on the original drum-and-bass vocal track, enters the realms of deep house, with the Amber Bambi Traill vocal, complimenting this brooding version, without compromise.

Taking the pace back up, is this weeks release on Discover White Label – “Sand Dancer” – is another debut for Skyborn aka Neil Cronin, who throws together massive bass lines and Arabian-esque melody to deliver a fantastic high energy floor filler, while over on Discover DarkJackob Roenald brings us “Nemesia” – a 140 BPM whopper with acid rippling its way through the track from start to finish! It comes complete with a remix from label regular Project 8 Official.

Flux Delux delivers two compilations this week. We return with “Recoverworld Trance Sessions – Vol. 15.02”, which covers our more recent releases in a not so small and but perfectly formed package. Tracks from Raminio aka Ramin Erişçi, Stuart Millarr, Robbie Van Doe, Sean Matthews, Origin and Stephen Lombardo are all included.

Finally, “World Trance Festivals Prague” pays homage to Trancefusion – one of the biggest dance festivals on the circuit! Militant Artists Manuel Le Sauxwill be the latest in a long line of artists from the Recoverworld Empire, to grace the stage this coming weekend. We have included tracks from him, as well John Askew, Sean Tyas, Giusseppe Ottaviani, Aly & Fila, Lostly, Thomas Datt, Bryan Kearney, Darren Porter and many more, as we join the trance community for one last time at this World Class party!

#08 Recoverworld Hour with DJ John Askew – Release your inner dark!

The latest episode of Recoverworld Hour on Diesel FM is now available to listen to on Tony Vertigo’s “Beyond Sunrise” Mixcloud page.

DJ John Askew is to trance what Aunt Bessie is to Yorkshires – in as much as you can not talk about one, without thinking of the other.

As head of A & R, he was an integral part of the Discover Records label for many years, and his influences can still be heard to this day, as the label stays true to it’s ethos of only releasing quality underground banging floor fillers.

In his interview, Johns discusses who he wants to punch, who he would most want to enjoy a tipple or two with and why he got his kit off in the name of charity!

This mix itself, is outstanding. Suitably dark, heavily psy influenced and relentless from start to finish.

Catch him next week (Friday 13th February, 2015) in Brighton, as he returns to his spiritual home and headlines Discover Records newly renamed “Discover Trance Academy presents ACID REVOLUTION.

#06 Let’s Get Lostly – The New Face of Trance!

lostlyIt’s been a busy few months for Militant Artists South African Super Star Andre Frauenstein aka Lostly and it’s just about to get busier! With the pending release of his genre hopping debut artist album NO DIRECTION HOME (released early 2015) this musical masterpiece is a personal journey, which proves beyond doubt the incredible versatility this artist has to offer. Containing 10 massive dance floor fillers and with early support from the likes of Aly and Fila, John O Callaghan, Brian Kearney, Indecent Noise and Manuel Le Saux it looks set to catapult him to new heights!

As head of A & R for the hugely successful trance label Discover Records, Lostly will be making his UK debut on February 13th 2015, in the labels hometown Brighton, for the official album launch party. Included on the line up is previous head of A & R, John Askew and current head of A & R for Discover Dark – Oberon, making this a truly label orientated launch. Signed copies of the CD will be available on the night, in advance of the full release date.

The title track No Direction Home will be released as a single, towards the end of January 2015 with remixes from Thomas Datt and Gary Maguire, while Take this Acid will follow as the second single shortly after.

And it doesn’t stop there! Look out for two high profile remixes over the coming months, with both Armada Records releasing his remix of the trance classic, Signum “What Ya Got 4 Me” and Blackhole Recording releasing his remix of the new Senadee single “Robot Love”.

His recent invitation to play at one of the World renowned “#AbsolutNights” events in his home town of Johannesburg and his latest starring role in feature length movie “Treurgrond” directed by Academy Award Nominee Darrell Roodt, looks to further cement Lostly’s reputation as an all round performer and one of the industry’s most likeable and hardworking characters!
